One of the events we personally miss in our line of work is the artisan fairs. But more than just being purveyors of local artisan products, I think it’s the innate longing for newness and undiscovered beauty (not to mention deals) that drive people of all walks to these fairs like ArteFino.
ArteFino fair is a most-awaited event every August. But like most social gatherings, it had to give way to the pandemic. Thankfully, they have since pivoted to e-commerce, making it easy to discover hip local brands without making the trip outside. They even devoted their first online run in June to a good cause, donating proceeds to the Philippine General Hospital and artisanal communities, who were economically hit by quarantine restrictions.
This time, they are staging what could have been a jam-packed gathering of Filipino artisans and buyers online just in time for Christmas shopping—no doubt that would persist amid the economic downfall. It is after all our only redemption this year.
Shopartefino.com’s inaugural “Reimagined” edition, will continue championing local makers and quality Filipino crafts albeit online. And the best part is, it’s not just confined to a few days—ArteFino will now be a yearlong event, accessible from your device 24/7.
The fair will start with 45 brands ranging from home and living designs to fashion labels. And here’s an insider info for all you excited supporters of local artisans: majority of the range is priced at P5,000 and below!
