HeArteFino: Development Program Grant

The HeArteFino Development Program Grant is HeArteFino’s flagship initiative aimed at fostering sustainable livelihoods and preserving Filipino living traditions. This program seeks to empower artisan-entrepreneurs working with communities in the local creative and handicrafts sectors by providing financial support and mentorship on product innovation and marketing.

The selected recipient of the grant will receive PHP 1,000,000 for their proposed design project.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Artisan-entrepreneurs with social enterprises in the Philippine creative and handicrafts sectors.
  • Projects must align with the program's objectives, demonstrating commitment to social impact and community development.
  • Innovative approaches to community challenges and opportunities are encouraged.
  • Applicants must demonstrate capacity to effectively utilize grant funding.
  • Projects should preserve and/or promote local culture and heritage.
  • Active participation in at least 3 ArteFino fairs is required.

Application & Selection Process

Phase 1: Application
From August 1 to October 7, 2024, interested applicants can email a comprehensive grant proposal to heartefino@artefinoph.com with the subject "Name - Grant Application".

Phase 2: Screening
From November 2024 until the end of January 2025, the submitted proposals will undergo a multi-stage screening process which includes an eligibility screening, a detailed evaluation by a nominated panel and final interviews.

Phase 3: Announcement
After the aforementioned process, the selected grantee will be notified and publicly announced in February 2025.

Grant Components & Expectations

Financial Support: PHP 1,000,000 for design project implementation, capacity building, and product development.

Mentorship: Guidance on prototyping, testing, refining products, and marketing from experienced mentors.

Expected Output: Products to be sold at the next ArteFino fair, with part of the proceeds supporting future grantees.

Impact Reporting: Mid-term and final reports detailing progress, impact and financials. Post-grant engagement for 3-5 years to ensure sustained impact.
